2nd Annual Buy a Friend a Game Day PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ryan L. Lopees

What Goes Around Just Might Come Around.

Last year GameTechWorld created a new holiday. “Buy a Friend a Game Day” is meant to ease the woes of tax crunch and takes place April 16th, this Thursday. “Buy a Friend a Game Day” is meant to be a playful, friendly gesture to amongst your fellow gamers. You don’t have to buy your friends a game that’s hundreds of dollars. A $5 downloadable game will do, but if you really lke your friend get them something they will enjoy! Find a friend who’s had a rough year and do something nice. I don’t want to hear any of the El Cheapos again this year complaining “Why should I spend my money on someone else?” If you have to ask that question you should probably ponder your part in the gaming community.

If you have a friend who helps you out this year, do the right thing; come on by here and give them a shout out!

Flawless...

The site, GamePolitics.com has been going through records from federal courts for insights into Midway's financial meltdown. Boiling down that Midway claims $167,523,000 in assets versus $281,033,000 in liabilities.

The list of Midway's 30 top heavy hitting creditors is staggering. Among these, Wells Fargo Bank has the most to lose as Midway owes them $150,000,000 from unsecured loans.

Gaming News - 360 DLC: The Lost and The Damned PDF Print E-mail

Get Lost... and Damned!

Plenty of people are complaining about the price of The Lost and the Damned, though 20 bucks for up to 15 hours of new campaign sounds like a good deal to me. Rockstar is also offering a handful of new multiplayer modes, exclusive to the pack. Apart from Free Mode and Deathmatch, these modes are unique to The Lost and the Damned, which is good news for folks that are a little sick of running through Mafia over and over again.

Sessler Strikes Back! PDF Print E-mail

Did Hell Just Freeze Over?

Okay, look, I am going to be frank when I say that I quite often I "disagree" with the things Adam Sessler has to say. Okay, "disagree" is a nice word. But, I am not one to deny swallowing my issues when I agree with someone. If anything, I play Devil's Advocate most of the time. In the gaming journalism industry it's pretty much par for the course that there are going to be heads that butt and differences in opinion. There's nothing new here.

Gaming News - Capcom, I love you. PDF Print E-mail

Kijuju A Go-Go

Life started today on a good note when I checked my email to find that Capcom has finally given a date for the Resident Evil 5 demo. PS3 owners are probably going to be ticked off to hear that it’s coming to the 360 for an “exclusive premiere”.

On January 26th you can download a two level playable demo with three co-op options (player and CPU, two players local and two players over Xbox Live).

There’s also promised to be a new fancy “exclusive hi-def trailer” on the 16th. Although this trailer has already been seen at the Tokyo Game Show in 2008.

Though anything Xbox will tell you that they see nothing for a PlayStation 3 demo, but after this exclusive week is over you can bet something will pop up.

Editor's Note: The PS3 demo for RE5 is slated for the week of Feb. 5th currently. If anything changes, we will let you know.
